Arizona Public Service (APS) powers most of the city, while Navopache Electric Cooperative services surrounding areas, sourcing energy from a balanced mix of coal, natural gas, nuclear, and renewables. Unisource Energy provides natural gas via an 8” pipeline, ensuring reliable energy delivery. With the capacity to produce up to 7 MGD, Show Low’s water system meets both summer and winter demands, while the wastewater treatment plant handles up to 2.45 MGD. State-of-the-art telecommunications, provided by Frontier Communications and Sparklight, offer advanced fiber optic networks and Metro Ethernet, ensuring businesses have access to high-speed and reliable connections.

Utilities

Arizona Public Service (APS) provides electric power to most of the City of Show Low and areas immediately to the north. The primary power source is the APS owned coal-fueled 995 MW Cholla Power Plant located 50 miles north of Show Low in Joseph City.

Navopache Electric Cooperative provides electric power to portions of the City of Show Low and to the areas immediately to the south, west and east. Navopache purchases its power from PNM Resources of Albuquerque, NM. PNM Resources has a current generating capacity of 2,650 MW and uses a balanced mix of fuel sources including coal, natural gas, nuclear and renewables.

Unisource Energy Services provides natural gas Service to Show Low and southern Navajo County via an 8” pipeline originating near Holbrook, AZ.

The City of Show Low water system can produce up to 7 MGD and average daily consumption is 4.2 MGD in the summer and 1.8 MGD in the winter. The city has multiple water sources and has an abundant water supply as a result.

Show Low's wastewater treatment plant has the capacity to treat 2.45 MGD.

Show Low has a state-of-the-art telecommunications infrastructure through two providers: Frontier Communications and Sparklight. Capabilities include a fiber optic network, T-1, T-3, OC-3, OC-48, Metro Ethernet and digital switching.
